Production/Quality Monitoring System
Sumitomo Plastics Machinery's easy-to-use iii-System (i-cubed) is designed to automatically collect production and quality results, status reports and daily sum-up data, allowing the operational status to be checked at any time and, using the internet, from any remote location. Basic functions of the iii-System include:
- Operating status overview
- Quality monitoring
- Control of molding conditions
- History of molding conditions
- History of alarms
To support molders’ quality programs, the iii-System provides easy-to-use quality traceability with:
- Storage of quality data for traceability (up to 60,000 shots per machine)
- The ability to download data for permanent storage on CD-R/DVD
- Indication of 24-hour molding quality on general graph screen
- Indication of past molding conditions and history of changes
On the Operating Status Screen, machine status is indicated in color on a real-time basis:
- Blue: automatic operation
- Red: error occurrence
- Yellow: setup and manual operation
- Black: production stop (power off)
Additionally, the iii-System provides convenient viewing of:
- Daily reports for the past year, including production quantity and number of defective parts
- Weekly and monthly reports, including production quantity and defect rate
- Production quantity and defect rate by molding condition
