SM Screw Patent Pending
Sumitomo’s new SM screw is a standard feature of the SE-HS high-speed all-electric and an option for the SE-HD high-duty all-electric. The patent pending technology of this screw provides low shear plasticizing and thorough mixing at low temperatures, avoiding problems such as burning and black spot. Additionally, due to the lower temperature and reduced cooling time, the SM screw can help reduce cycle times.
